Flute Society of NSW

SUNDAY June 16, 2019 MLC School, Burwood

The Flute Society of NSW organises an annual Eisteddfod for all ages and abilities. The goal is to help all aspiring flute players find a platform to perform and to be inspired by those around them.

A big congratulations to all our performers! You can find the full list of results here.

Left to Right: Sarah Sommerville, Samuel de Kroon, Harvey Abrahams, Kirrily Swatton, Elizabeth Pring, Anna Janczewski, Tina Gu, Sophie Wai and Samantha Roberts.

Cash prizes for championship sections*:

Open: $300, $200, $100

Intermediate: $200, $100, $50

Junior: $100, $50, $30

Mini: $50, $30, $30

In addition to these prizes, two students of high school age will be chosen from the entire Eisteddfod to receive the Brian Kim Inspiration Award of $100 each. The recipients of this award will be chosen for their potential and love of flute and music.

Brian Kim is a very talented 18 year old Australian flautist currently studying in the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. He has generously donated this money to help aspiring young flautists.

*It is at the adjudicators' discretion to choose the recipients of the prizes to be awarded in each section. This may depend on number of participants and their quality of playing. All decisions are final.

• Accompanist contact details can be found below.
